Heavy metal contaminant adsorbent new materials
Currently, there are many ways to control, which the adsorption is considered to be the most promising approach. However, there is a conventional adsorbent material low adsorption, agglomeration easily, easy to produce secondary pollution, difficulties and poor cycle performance bottlenecks separated. In response to these problems, research team CAS Hefei Institute of substances as raw materials graphene prepared three-dimensional graphene airgel material, the material is then deposited manganese dioxide as a template, prepared a three-dimensional graphene / manganese composite oxide airgel materials. The airgel composite can efficiently remove metal ions polluted water and the like, pseudo-second adsorption kinetics model. It is reported that this composite airgel containing a large amount of oxygen-containing functional groups capable of complexing heavy metal ions, and manganese dioxide can be layered with the exchange interaction of heavy metal ions. In addition, also it has good cycle stability, absorption through 8 – after desorption, adsorption efficiency can reach 98% of the original adsorption capacity. Thus, the three-dimensional graphene / manganese dioxide airgel composite materials successfully developed a new way to provide support for the management of technical and metal contaminants.
